Position Summary


In accordance with company procedures which follow ISO 9001 standards and using Zapp Packaging’s ERP and CAD systems, create efficient and effective packaging configurations to meet customer specifications.  Produce and output necessary prototypes and art materials for customer orders.

Consistently make decisions demonstrating regard for our customer 

Structural Designer 

Operate C.A.D. (Computer Aided Design) system (C.A.D. software and sample/plotter table). 

Review and understand design requests. 

Understand customer specifications or requirements for a given package in relation to Zapp Packaging capabilities. 

Conceive and create sample packaging which conforms to the customer and Zapp’s requirements. 

Provide the necessary materials needed to produce artwork. 

Revise and modify designs as needed for customers or Zapp’s production. 

Maintain the integrity of one up design programs and track the latest revision. 

Maintain the history of customer projects (file system). 

Coordinate projects and inform the Sales Team when changes of commitments are made. 

Go over projects with customers, and Sales.  

Perform special projects as assigned by management.


Essential Job Functions


Learn and follow all safety rules. 

Ability to work in a high stress environment to meet customer delivery dates. 

Willingness to work overtime on all seven-week days and assist in all manufacturing related functions, as required by supervision.
