Position Summary

 

Assist 1st Pressman in all printing tasks including inspection of copy, correct inks and coatings and maintenance. 

Consistently and efficiently manufacture high quality product per procedures in compliance to ISO 9001 standards. And any other standards required by customer.

2nd Pressman

 

Hang plates and coating blankets. 

Register job. 

Verify vinyl to printed sheet for accuracy of bleeds, knockouts and scores. 

Submit and/or scan sheet to eye-c machine. 

Assist pressman in checking copy. 

Inspect for defects before and during run. Set-up and run inspection control when available. 

Assist pressman with documentation, spreadsheet, VOC reports and checklists. 

Set up water units. Monitor peripheral equipment. 

Learn and maintain knowledge of plate making process. 

Learn and maintain knowledge of blanket making process. 

Operate aerator whenever needed. 

Check and maintain proper ink and coating levels. 

Properly use the tooling module. 

Proactively assist in setting upcoming jobs for ease of job change-overs. 

Assist pressman in troubleshooting press problems. 

Assist in preventive maintenance. 

Assist in roller maintenance. Order rollers as needed. 

Assist in troubleshooting feeder problems. 

Assist in wash ups. 

Work with pressman to learn ink settings and control. 

Maintain a clean and safe work environment, report any unsafe situations immediately.  

Performs any special project as assigned by management.

Ability to work in a high stress environment to meet customer delivery dates. 

Willingness to work overtime on all seven-week days and assist in all manufacturing related functions, as required by supervision.
