This technical sales position is a critical link to the success of Zapp Packaging. The position will be a combination of growing current accounts as well as delivering new accounts and collaborating on new prospect’s businesses that are within Zapp’s manufacturing capabilities. This sales position will focus on the medical packaging, cosmetics packaging and fancy food packaging market. The successful candidate will be experienced in working with inside customer service representatives and will be obsessed with customer service. The successful candidate will regularly work with both internal and external customers and all aspects of Zapp’s business structure in order to deliver on Zapp’s promise of great quality from design through to delivery and billing.
Sales – Delighting the Customer
Ability to follow and perform to annual sales plan and goals agreed upon with Sales Manager.
Ability to design and work with a customer’s needs and specifications and communicate those needs and design requirements via electronic and written methods to ensure accurate order processing and manufacturing.
Coordinate and monitor the orders received with an internal customer service representative.
Identify customer needs and priorities synthesizing the recommendations into preliminary, general and final detailed designs.
Take independent initiative to improve customer service and market company services.
Use creativity in problem solving.
Be able to sell in a strategic conceptual way.
Be passionate about gathering factual and detailed information from customers for quality errors or other issues where Zapp can improve, so that Zapp corrects the issue and the customer is happy.
Proven capability to communicate and conceptualize a final product both for a customer and for internal Zapp personnel.
Ability to motivate and persuade customers to purchase Zapp products and services.
Possess empathy to accurately assess what customers are thinking and feeling.
Ability to handle customer objections with ease in order to secure orders.
Travel to customer offices and production facilities.
Have a proven record of participating and contributing on a team.
Presents and maintains a positive team attitude that is cooperative, takes initiative and is adaptable to change.
Be willing to share market and prospect information in a timely manner.
Be able to read and follow documented procedures, job jackets and specifications accurately. If procedures or instructions are unclear, not only clarify, but try to improve the process for better customer satisfaction.
Resolve conflicts with customers and/or production.
Performs any special project as assigned by management.
