Position Summary

 

Set up, operate and maintain the die cutting press that scores and cuts paperboard. 

Consistently and efficiently manufacture high quality product per procedures in compliance to ISO 9001 standards.

 

Responsibilities

 

Customer Satisfaction 

Consistently make decisions demonstrating regard for our customer. 

Die Cutting Operator 

Set up, operate and maintain the die cutting press that scores and cuts paperboard. 

Performs in process inspection while running job. 

Assist in pre-make ready, and die shop, if required. 

Notify supervisor of defect trends and nonconforming die cutting quality. 

Use hand tools in maintenance of machinery. 

Completes die cutting checklist for each job. 

Collect and input plant data collection. 

Reads and follows job tickets instructions. 

Inspects sample cuts to determine conformity to specifications. 

Performs any special project as assigned by management.





Essential Job Functions

 

Learn and follow all safety rules. 

Ability to work in a high stress environment to meet customer delivery dates. 

Willingness to work overtime on all seven-week days and assist in all manufacturing related functions, as required by supervision.

Physical Requirements 

Distinguish colors accurately and consistently. 

Ability to stand/bend/walk and manual dexterity for duration of work period. 

Moderate lifting up to 100 lbs. up to 30 times per work period. 

Excellent eye to hand coordination.
